News and Events

After the recent easing of the lockdown restrictions we are pleased to announce that from this Sunday - 25th July onwards - we will again be gathering on Sunday mornings from 10.30am in the Main Hall at TCF Corringham. It will be really great to see the Church family again in person as we join together to worship God and have fellowship with one another.

Practically, all areas of the building will be sanitized before and after our time and people are welcome to continue wear whatever face coverings etc they prefer. Our emphasis will be on a sensible consideration towards others.

Coffee etc will be available from just after 10am.

The purpose of this policy is to reassure and inform you. We want to reassure you that we’re taking Coronavirus seriously and inform you of our approach and the procedures we have put in place. We also want to remind you that whilst we all need to take sensible precautions, there is no need to be overly worried about Coronavirus; the likelihood of infection is still low and, for the vast majority, the illness is not serious.

The information below is intended for all users of Thurrock Christian Fellowship (TCF) including TCF Preschool, Thurrock Foodbank, hirers, general public and church members. The latest version of this policy will be published on our website (, displayed in the foyers of the TCF Corringham buildings and emailed where appropriate. A separate policy exists for TCF Staff and Volunteers.

Our policy

We’re following the government’s advice about Coronavirus which is published on the Public Health England website (see the links below). This website contains advice about how to protect yourself and others and we would encourage you to look at this information and follow the advice.

At present, TCF is operating a ‘business as usual’ policy; all meetings and bookings are taking place. TCF PreSchool and Thurrock Foodbank also continue to operate as normal. This will only change if government advice changes or we experience a Coronavirus related problem. If this happens, we will update and republish this policy. If it becomes necessary to close the building or cancel meetings, we will inform all users, hirers and church members as quickly as possible.

How we can help

  • We totally understand that this can be a fearful time for some people - fear of the unknown and wary of what the future holds. As a Christian organisation we firmly believe the promises in scripture including on that is found in 1 John 4:18 where it talks about the love of God being able to drive out any fear in our lives. If you or anyone you know would like prayer for this - please again do not hesitate to contact us.
  • Also we can practically help out with any urgent needs that anyone may have - particularly those who are elderly or vulnerable - again do not hesitate to contact us as above.
