BabiesThe Baby Room
Our baby room can take a maximum of 12 children up to the age of 2 years old.
We have 7 staff including full time and part time. We also have students from time to time doing work experience to learn the practical side of childcare. We are a self contained area incorporating a kitchen, bathroom, nappy changing, eating area ans sleeping area.
The staff are informal and friendly and always welcome parents and their children to visit and then stay and play.
In the morning we prepare and serve breakfast. The babies have snack mid-morning and lunch is prepared and served by our cook. In the early afternoon the babies have snack and in late afternoon the children have tea.
The children enjoy lots of activities aimed at helping their development including sand, water, puzzles, playdough and drawing just to names a few.
We go out daily either into the secure garden area or outings to the park.
To help your child feel less apprehensive about being left in the nursery, Treasure Children Forever arranges a 'settling-in period' with you, a week or two before your child is due to start. This can be for a couple of hours, half a day or just a few short visits over a week, depending on the child. This experience prepares you for the first occasion you leave your child at the nursery, ensuring a less fraught time for you both.
When you drop your off your child, the nursery team will be ready to give your baby a cuddle and ensure that they are feeling secure and safe on your departure.
You will be invited to call us during the day for an update about how your baby has settled in.
Staff will be holding some of the babies and talking to others. The staff to child ratio is one to three in the baby room. The staff in the baby room genuinely enjoy their work and will show a real interest in every baby as an individual.
The baby room is very homely with comfy chairs and cushions. It is brightly decorated wit lots of colourful pictures on the wall and mobiles hanging from the ceiling. There is a separate room or area for the babies to sleep in. Each baby will have his or her own cot or where this is not possible, their own clean bed.
