Pre School Garden Project

It has been the long term vision of the Treasure Children Forever PreSchool to create an educational garden alongside the existing outdoor play area. Over the summer months we have successfully sought the necessary planning permission to demolish a dilapidated garage block and on this and the surrounding concrete areas develop a brand new garden area complete with artificial grass.

We are currently working on an "artist's impression" for this area, and will circulate this as soon as we have it. Our initial thoughts are to start small with a learning and adventurous central space and then add other educational areas to the garden piece by piece as and when funds allow.

From enquiries already made with a number of companies, we anticipate that the total cost of the project will be in the region of £50,000.

We have already started a number of grant funding applications, but everyone can help with funding raising and giving to this exciting project however large or small the amount. With fundraising please speak with directly with Allison Jones. With donations these again can be given directly to Allison or they can be given on line to :

Account Name: Treasure Children Forever
Sort Code:          30 - 18 – 34
Account No:       00526990

The proposed timetable – subject of course to funding is ..

 Now until Easter 18

Communication, Fund Raise, Grant Applications etc.

 During Easter School Holiday 18

Demolition and clearing of garage block area

After Easter and before Summer Holiday 18

 Install new perimeter fencing

 During Summer Holiday 18

 Build new garden

Our approach in this project is clearly one which involves all of the PreSchool Staff and Parents together. We are open to any help, suggestions or ideas - however big or small.

Some of the immediate aspects that we could do with some assistance are:-

  1. Do you know of any suitable company that could demolish the garage block and take away the rubble off site ?
  2. Have you any knowledge of any grant funding organisations that we could make an application to ?
  3. Do you have any ideas that you believe may be suitable to be including into the design and creation of the garden ? Remember the emphasis is very much on “Education” so aspects along the lines of growing plants, sand pits and exploration balanced out with possibly some tunnels and slides etc. If you see anything when you are out and about – take a photo and send it in !
  4. Do you have or know anyone who could help with some artistic impressions of what the garden will look like. This will be invaluable in our communications and when making various grant funding applications.

We will endeavour to keep people up to date as much as we can. Keep checking out these pages on the main TCF Church website, the Treasure Children Forever Facebook page and also the notice board in the foyer next to the entrance to the Gems Room.
