TCF vs Hillsong London IT'S NOT THE WORLD CUP BUT... Last Saturday 3rd July TCF lads (with a little help from others) beat Hillsong London 4 - 2 in a fantastic football match at James Hornsby School, Laindon. The team, captained by Dave Wright, came from being 1 - 0 down to win in the second half. Keep your ears open for the next game! |

Tea Party in the Garden TEA IN THE GARDEN... Saturday 26th June 2010 was a great day, made even better by a ladies tea party afternoon in the garden of The All Saints Centre. For those of you that missed the Ladies Tea in the Garden, you missed a real treat. What an oasis of calm and beauty; the weather was amazing - a perfect English summer's day - the music and entertainment delightful and the ladies stunning in their frocks. We supped from china cups and ate cakes served on china plates, and yes, then there were the cakes, did we mention the cakes? There were cucumber sandwiches, and delicate egg and cress sandwiches, crusts cut off and perfectly quartered. The invitation was to enjoy a moment of calm in a busy week. Life can be a series of rushed events as work, family and responsibility demand our attention, but everyone needs time to stop and enjoy friendship, a beautiful garden, the great sunshine and the cakes... did we mention the cakes? Thank you to all those who set it all up, entertained us, invited friends along and made those amazing cakes. The Ladies Tea Party was just one event organised this year which gives us an opportunity to engage with our neighbours and friends in ordinary stuff that women love doing. Any excuse to get together and enjoy a chat and a cup of something! In April we had our third Frock Swap - if you haven't been to one of these yet, there is an opportunity to join us on 18th September 2010 when you can find yourself that new outfit for the winter wedding or Christmas party for the bargain price of....nothing. Further details regarding this will appear on the Homepage of the website in due course. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy these few photos, which will remind you of the lovely afternoon we spent doing very little. It also gives you another opportunity to look at those cakes....did we mention the cakes? |
