CAP Money Course

Did you know that?

  • Two thirds of credit card debt in Europe is here in the UK?
  • One person is declared bankrupt or insolvent every 4 minutes?
  • The average interest paid by each household on their total debt is approximately £2650 per year?

Christians Against Poverty is a national debt counselling charity working through a network of centres based in local churches.  CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in depth service.  Unlike other organisations they do not charge anything for this service, however complicated.

Christians Against Poverty also operate CAP Money which is a comprehensive yet astonishingly simple 3 session money management course to help you get, and then stay, in control of your finances.

But it’s not just those struggling with their finances who can benefit from this amazing help – We all can!

John & Andrea Peters have recently come back from an excellent training day to become CAP Money Coaches.  CAP, as an organisation, does everything to a very high standard and this day was no exception.  They passionately believe in what they are involved in and enthuse this to everyone else.

Would you or your friends or relatives be interested in joining our first course, which lasts for just three sessions?  Or would you be available to help us during the session with welcome and hospitality?

Our first course will commence in January 2011, followed again in March.

Please contact John or Andrea Peters for more information, or email us directly here.

Nevertheless is John Kirkby’s story of the adventure of starting Christians Against Poverty.  In 1996 John and Lizzie Kirkby set out on a faith adventure. John felt God call him to give up his successful career in the finance industry to do what he could to help the poor and needy in his home town of Bradford.
