Christians Against Poverty is a national debt counselling charity working through a network of centres based in local churches.  CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in depth service.  Unlike other organisations they do not charge anything for this service, however complicated.

Christians Against Poverty also operate CAP Money which is a comprehensive yet astonishingly simple 3 session money management course to help you get, and then stay, in control of your finances.



But it’s not just those struggling with their finances who can benefit from this amazing help – We all can!

John & Andrea Peters, James Gensberg and Tracey Moyes have come back from  training  to become CAP Money Coaches.  CAP, as an organisation, does everything to a very high standard and now we are setting up regular courses throughout the year to help people manage their finances better.

Nevertheless is John Kirkby’s story of the adventure of starting Christians Against Poverty.  In 1996 John and Lizzie Kirkby set out on a faith adventure. John felt God call him to give up his successful career in the finance industry to do what he could to help the poor and needy in his home town of Bradford.
